Bharucha (not enforceable) Justice Bharucha was the only one who heard the entire Narmada case and gave a dissenting judgement stating that the conditional environmental clearance to Sardar Sarovar has lapsed. March 2005 Judgement by Jsts. Sabharwal, Balakrishnan and Sinha Caring about the displaced families, the Supreme Court held that rehabilitation was severely lagging and that the government should stop discriminating against flood or temporarily affected families and major sons. They all have to be rehabilitated along with the permanently affected families and not postponbed to a later stage.
